The Rogue of fifth avenue is my first Reading from Joanna Shupe and this is the first book of the Uptown girls series.

The story is set in New York during the gilded age and it is about the romance between Frank and Mamie. Frank is the lawyer of a wealthy powerful family and Mamie is their eldest daughter.

I really enjoyed the story and the most fascinating character in this story is our heroin, Mamie. She is a headstrong, Intelligent yet feminine woman who always willing to go above and beyond to help powerless, poor people.
Also, I really enjoyed Frank's affection, caring nature towards Mamie and the story is full of lustful scenes.
I wish I could see more romance(spiritually and emotionally) between the couple.

But, overall it's a great read, and impressed with the author's writing style.
I will be definitely picking more books from Joanna Shupe in the future.
